The partnership aims to encourage and support the public to embrace active and healthy lifestyles, something Compeed has been facilitating for over 40 years thanks to our market-leading skin healing technology.
As part of the agreement, Compeed becomes the official blister plaster partner of parkrun Ireland and will be present at parkrun events offering blister prevention and management tips to participants, as well as opportunities to sample our products.
The partnership will also see the two organisations collaborate on digital content, including blog articles, to share advice and insights on how to maintain healthy and happy feet while pursuing an active lifestyle.
Since launching in London’s Bushy Park in 2004, parkrun has expanded around the world to include 2,200 weekly events in 22 countries, with 8 million registered parkrunners, and around 320,000 weekly participants.

parkrun events are known for their friendly and inclusive environment. You’ll find they are attended by people of all shapes and sizes, abilities and backgrounds, some keen runners and walkers, others there to soak up the community feel. All parkrun events are coordinated and marshalled by volunteers and ‘First Timers’ get their own special welcome, should they want more information when they arrive.
While parkrun records your finishing time across a 5K distance (or 2K for junior events on a Sunday), the events are more about personal achievement and participation rather than competition. It’s a supportive environment where you can set your own goals and progress at your own pace.
parkrun welcomes participants of all ages, including children. There are also dedicated junior parkruns for kids aged 4-14, 2k in length and take palace on Sundays
After the parkrun, participants often gather for a chat and refreshments. It’s an excellent opportunity to socialise, make new friends, and be part of the parkrun community.
parkrun promotes physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Regular participation can help improve fitness levels, boost mental well-being, and provide a sense of accomplishment.
